However, at the pre-fight press conference on Thursday evening, tensions exploded when Danis threw a microphone at Paul’s head, cutting his forehead.

He took to social media after the incident to fire back at Danis. On X (formerly Twitter), Paul reposted “Dillon can’t escape me. The fight is very much happening, the stakes just got higher.”

Paul also shared a selfie displaying the bloody cut and bruise on his forehead. He captioned the photo “Can’t see the haterz (sic)”.

Danis, for his part, showed no remorse online. He shared a photo of Paul’s blood dripping on the floor with the caption “Play with fire get burnt p****”.
