After writing this post, I realised how many powerful enchantments exist is in Minecraft, and the awesome combinations you can make.

This guide breaks down all 42 enchantments currently in the game, their maximum levels, what they actually do, and where you should apply them. Universal Durability & Utility
These enchantments dictate the lifespan of your items. They are the backbone of any endgame build.
What is the Unbreaking enchantment?
- Max Level: III
- What it does: It gives your gear a chance to avoid losing durability when used. This makes your items last significantly longer before breaking.
- Best used on: Literally everything you want to keep long-term.
What is the Mending enchantment?
- Max Level: I
- What it does: It repairs your items automatically using collected experience orbs. Your gear becomes indestructible as long as you keep earning XP.
- Best used on: Everything you put Unbreaking on.
What is the Curse of Vanishing enchantment?
- Max Level: I
- What it does: It causes the item to completely disappear when you die. The item will not drop on the ground for you to recover.
- Best used on: Pranks or custom map making. You want to avoid this in normal survival.
