Introduction
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer and Zombies Beta runs from October 2-8, 2025. This Beta period provides a preview of the full game, which launches on November 14. This guide covers the available maps, modes, progression system, and rewards.
Beta Schedule: Early Access and Open Beta
The Beta is split into two distinct phases, each offering progressively more content:
Early Access (October 2-4): This weekend is exclusively for players who have pre-ordered Black Ops 7 or are subscribed to select Xbox Game Pass plans. Early Access kicks off on Thursday, October 2 at 10AM PT and runs through October 4. You can download the Beta from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Battle.net, or Steam. Digital pre-order players are automatically registered, while physical pre-orders may require a Beta code.
Open Beta (October 5-8): The Open Beta begins on Sunday, October 5 at 10AM PT, allowing all players across all platforms to participate. The Open Beta continues through Wednesday, October 8 at 10AM PT.
Note for PC players: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required, along with other security measures that may be enforced.
Training and Preparation
Players can use the Training Course available on The Forge multiplayer map. This tutorial covers the game’s Omnimovement system and updated firing mechanics. The training course is available for both new and returning players.
For the Zombies mode, Survival Mode training is available on Vandorn Farm. This section of the full “Ashes of the Damned” map allows players to experiment with weapons, Perks, Ammo Mods, Equipment, and Field Upgrades.
Early Access Maps and Modes
The Early Access period launches with four core Multiplayer maps and introduces Zombies Survival partway through:
Multiplayer Maps:
The Forge: Set in a harbor-based research facility showcasing The Guild’s autonomous weapon technology, The Forge features a split design with two wings separated by a central range containing rotating walls and a defense turret. Navigate product displays and demo areas while adapting to the map’s dynamic elements.

Cortex: This cliffside compound houses experimental Guild research, complete with vat chambers holding suspended subjects. The facility includes an autopsy room and morgue, with combat centered around controlling the underpass or utilizing the narrow skybridge overlooking the water.

Exposure: Primarily an outdoor map with the Control Room as the only interior space, Exposure features three well-defined combat lanes interspersed with facility components. High walls provide strong cover and flanking opportunities, while agile players can access the rotating Guild crate for a powerful vantage point.

Imprint: Bundle up for this mid-sized robotics facility set in a blizzard. Battle through various stages of the drone development process indoors or fight along the snowy perimeter – just watch your step near those sheer cliff edges.

Zombies Survival Map:
Vandorn Farm: Available starting October 3, this Survival map challenges you to hold out within the farmstead’s perimeter. Once power is restored, you’ll fight for as many rounds as possible with limited escape options. Pack-a-Punch and Der Wunderfizz machines are placed within the Survival area since they don’t appear in this section during Standard Mode. Judge the perfect moment to initiate Exfil before the undead overwhelm your position.
Game Modes:
Early Access features five game modes:
- Overload (New): Bring the Overload Device to enemy zones and detonate them.
- Team Deathmatch: Classic elimination-based combat where kills contribute to your team’s score.
- Domination: Capture and hold three objectives across the map to accumulate points.
- Hardpoint: Fight for control of a rotating objective zone that moves throughout the match.
- Kill Confirmed: Eliminate enemies and collect their dog tags to score while denying enemy recoveries.
Open Beta Expansion
When the Open Beta launches on October 5, two additional maps join the rotation:
Blackheart: Deploy to a nautical drilling platform extracting resources for Guild projects. The map’s lanes force close-quarters combat around the central rotating drill. Fight on the barge, flank around the diving bell, and avoid the grinder pit’s rotating teeth.

Toshin: Navigate a ruined monorail through a downtown shopping district illuminated by vibrant advertisements. This tightly-packed urban layout rewards exploration and quick decision-making as you move through park areas, market streets, and the transit station wreckage.

The Open Beta also introduces Search & Destroy mode, the tactical elimination-based game type beloved by competitive players.
