1.20 Cherry Blossom biomes
The forthcoming Minecraft 1.20 update is set to enthrall players with a variety of fresh additions, most notably the inclusion of the Cherry Blossom biome, a game environment imbued with the beauty of cherry blossom trees. This biome brings an impressive cherry wood set with light pink blocks and items into play. Those eager to explore the 1.20 cherry blossom biome before the official rollout of the Minecraft 1.20 update can follow these steps.

The 1.20 cherry blossom biome, also known as Cherry Grove biome, adds a unique type of tree, the cherry blossom tree, to Minecraft’s vast flora. These trees, popularly found in Japan, are admired for their aesthetic appeal, primarily their bright pink leaves. This addition significantly alters the game’s plant palette, as until now, all other plant types in Minecraft displayed leaves in varying green hues.
The game creators have enhanced the appeal of the 1.20 cherry blossom biome by allowing the cherry blossom petals to gracefully fall, blanketing the ground around the trees. This detail offers breathtaking visuals and ideal locations for in-game photography. Moreover, players can collect these scattered petals, which take form as new Pink Petal blocks. These blocks can be collected using any tool or even by hand, though a hoe enables the quickest collection and stacking in the inventory.
The Cherry Grove biome also introduces a new cherry wood set, expanding the variety of forest biomes in the game. Just like other wood sets, players can transform cherry wood into planks, slabs, logs, stairs, and other wooden objects. Given that the bamboo wood set is already slated for inclusion in the Minecraft 1.20 update, the addition of a second new set significantly sweetens the deal for players.
Three friendly mobs inhabit the 1.20 cherry blossom biome, specifically pigs, sheep, and bees. This serene and enchanting biome is designed to emanate an atmosphere of peace and love, and therefore it’s fitting that its resident entities are peaceful and, as described by Mojang’s blog post, “adorable.”
