Call of Duty continues to prioritize creating a welcoming community by combating toxicity and disruptive behavior. Key updates and findings from the voice moderation beta have been revealed.
Code of Conduct Update on Anti-toxicity
The Call of Duty Code of Conduct has been updated under the “Treat Everyone with Respect” pillar. This update aims to better combat discrimination and violence, emphasizing no tolerance for bullying, harassment, hate speech, and discrimination.
Moderation Findings
The voice moderation system, initially introduced in North America, has now expanded globally, supporting English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Notable results include:
- Over 2 million accounts faced enforcement for disruptive voice chat.
- Only 1 in 5 instances of disruptive behavior were reported by users, underscoring the need for community involvement.
- An 8% reduction in repeat offenders and a ~50% reduction in exposure to disruptive voice chat since the launch of Modern Warfare III.
Future Plans for Anti-toxicity in Call of Duty
