Get ready to hoard like never before! The latest Rust update brings a game-changing addition: backpacks! These handy knapsacks let you shed your pack-rat tendencies and finally carry all the loot your heart desires.
Double (or Triple) Your Inventory with Two Backpack Sizes:
Rust offers two backpack flavours: small and large. The small backpack, a readily available crafting recipe, grants you a comfortable 12 extra slots. Perfect for quick gathering runs or stashing essentials, it’s your new best friend for everyday adventuring.
But for those who crave serious hauling power, the large backpack is the ultimate prize. Found only in green loot crates, this military marvel boasts a staggering 28 additional slots. Imagine the possibilities! Raiding becomes a breeze, base transfers are a cinch, and you’ll never leave anything behind again.
Backpack Basics:
- Each player can only equip one backpack with items at a time (but multiple empties are allowed).
- Drag your chosen backpack to the “backpack” slot above your clothing for quick equipping.
- Backpacks don’t weigh you down or have hidden drawbacks, so load up without worry.
- Remember, new features are subject to change, so stay tuned for future backpack tweaks!
Small Backpack:
- Slots: 12
- Blueprint: Default
- Crafting cost: 5 sewing kits, 50 cloth
- Ideal for: Gathering runs, quick trips
Large Backpack:
- Slots: 28
- Blueprint: N/A (loot only)
- Found in: Green loot crates
- Ideal for: Raids, base transfers, loot-a-thons
So grab your trusty pickaxe, don your new backpack, and conquer the Rust landscape like never before! With more space for loot, the only limit is your carrying capacity (and maybe your enemies’ aim).
