Flight Simulator 2D is a mobile indie game available on Android & IOS. Downloaded over 1,000,000 times on the Play Store, Flight Simulator 2D does what it says on the tin, but with a fresh take on the Flight Simulator Genre.
What’s the Flight Simulator 2D Gameplay?
The Gameplay of Flight Simulator 2D offers a challenging yet fun experience, where instead of your typical 3D world, the game pits you in your take-off airport in a 2D Side-scroller portrait view. Half of your screen is the aircraft, and half of your screen is the controls of your aircraft.
Thanks to the portrait view of the game, landing the aircraft can be quite hard, as you can’t clearly anticipate the landscape ahead of you, which means you’ll often find yourself making a last-second decision to nose-dive into the airport, making landing equally fun & frustrating when it doesn’t quite go to plan.
How Is The Progression in Flight Simulator 2D?
In the game you begin in Greece, with a small 4-seater plane, flying between small Greek regions and islands.
After each flight, you earn money based on the length of the flight. There is a star-rating system based on passenger comfort, but that doesn’t affect how much you get paid per flight. You also have an unnamed “flight badge”. In order to unlock new regions, like Germany, you must upgrade your aircraft.
To upgrade your planes in Flight Simulator 2D you must by “Aircraft part” crates, each costing 250 money. Once you buy the crate, it will randomly give you a card for an aircraft. Each aircraft needs a specified number of cards to upgrade, or unlock.
Are there ads in Flight Simulator 2D?
Like all Mobile games, Flight Simulator 2D contains ads, but only for earning money or doubling your money earned from a flight. All-in-all, the ads aren’t spammy, and are used if you want to speed up your progression in the game.
Is Flight Simulator 2D Good?
Yes! Actually, the game is a great way to burn some time, and offers some really great progression. The ads are there if you want to progress faster, but aren’t spammy like many mobile games.
Our rating:
