Today (November 3rd) is when Fortnite OG dropped, introducing the original map, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, and more back into the game. Fortnite V27.00 has seen 5,000,000 concurrent players, which makes it the most the game has ever seen since the launch of Fortnite back in 2018.
Fortnite OG – the Rocket Launcher is back
The release of Fortnite OG reintroduces the Rocket Launcher into ground-loot, which means you can find the RPG in the map. leaker @HYPERX has shared the chapter 1 starter loot pool and included are both the Rocket Launcher and the Grenade Launcher, which means the Launchers are back in Fortnite OG.
The complete list of weapons returning in Fortnite OG is:
- Grapple Gloves & Katana (Maybe a mistake?)
- Mini Shield, Big Shield & Chug Jug (NO SLURP)
- Bush, Boogie Bomb, Stink Grenade, Shockwaves, Impulses, Rift-to-Go, Port-a-Fort, OG Grenade
- OG Trap, Bouncers, Campfire, Launchpad – Pump Shotgun, Tactical Shotgun, Heavy Shotgun & Double Barrel Shotgun
- Pistol, Deagle & LMG
- AR, Burst AR & Scoped AR
- Scar & Suppressed Scar
- SMG, Suppressed SMG & P90
- Grenade Launcher & Rocket Launcher
- Bolt Sniper, Silent Bolt Sniper & Hunting Rifle
Is the Rocket Launcher good?
As you would expect, the Rocket Launcher is very powerful, with the ability to blow through walls, it makes the RPG a great weapon to hold in Fortnite OG. A hit from the Rocket Launcher will deal 130 damage, which makes it a fairly powerful weapon, but it’s most useful for destroying towers and paths in build modes.
How to find the Rocket Launcher
You can find the Rocket Launcher in legendary and bunker chests, so don’t expect to see it all too often!
