THE GTA VI Trailer dropped early because it was leaked. The 91-second trailer has blown fans of the series away with it’s scale and graphics, but there are so many details that many you have missed. In this guide we’ll look at all of the little details that we may have missed on the first watch!
Gauntlet car returns
In the first few seconds of the trailer, we saw the Gauntlet Hellfire, a muscle car that exists in GTA V. While it’s hard to notice, the Gauntlet Hellfire is driving on the Highway bridge in the first few frames of the trailer. This most likely means that we’ll see many more cars return as they were in previous games, or as new and improved models.
Patriot beer delivery van
The patriot beer delivery truck is seen in the first frame of the trailer. In the GTA Universe we have Pisswasser, but it looks like we’ll see a new brand of beer in the GTA universe which goes by the name of Patriot.
Lucia Breaks from prison
In leaks that came earlier this year it was rumoured that Lucia will break free from prison in the opening scene of the game. While this is unconfirmed, there is a 5 seconds moment in the trailer which shows Lucia, the main character in prison. This could mean that the rumoured leak was correct, and that we’ll see Lucia breaking out of prison in the first mission of the game. We saw a similar introduction to Saints Row 2.
Lucia’s prison counsellor is named Stephanie
In the trailer Lucia is seen talking to her prison counsellor. It was a fast scene, but if you see the desk, her name is displayed on a plaque. Her name is Stephani.
GTA VI Water is very advanced
In the GTA VI trailer we see a lot of water, and it’s beautiful. The water in the trailer is extremely realistic. With different levels of depth, colour, and displacement reacting to the boats and animals, the water is very advanced. You can also see that Yatchs are returning in GTA VI.
The GTA VI city is big
People have been asking, “is GTA VI big?”, or “Is the map big?”. The answer is clear. The Map in GTA VI is the biggest in the series yet. The skyline of the map is big, and the smaller surrounding buildings are so unique that it’s clear Rockstar Games have put plenty of effort in the design of the map
The Everglades in the map
In a 2-3 seconds moment in the GTA VI trailer, we got our first official look at the Everglades, a swampy area in Florida. The Everglades will be teeming with life, from birds to Flamingos, to Alligators. The effort made by Rockstar in RDR2 to bring the animals to life has shown through with GTA VI, with the most life-like animals we’ve ever seen in a video game. We get our first look at the Fan Boat, which is a new boat powered by a giant fan – they are commonly used to traverse shallow waters, which indicates that the GTA VI Everglades will be boggy shallow waters.
Vice City Beach has so much activity
Firstly, in the shot of the VC Beach, we can see two returning vehicles, namely the Buckingham Supervolito helicopter, and the Sea Sparrow, which is a helicopter than can land on the water. We can also sea that jet skis are returning, they are called Sea Sharks in the GTA Universe.
Vice City Docks
The trailer shows off more water-based action with the Vice City Docks, showing the giant scale of the cranes, cargo ships and buildings in the background. In this photo we can also see a jet-liner in the sky, which indicates that we will again be able to fly the giant jumbo jets, just as we could in GTA V.
Kelly County & VCI Airport
In a spot on the highway, we can see some signage which shows us the names of the Airport, and a few other places. We now know that the main Vice City Airport (Vice City International Aiport) is based in Kelly County. In the signage, we can also see Catalan Blvd, as well as Stockyard Downtown, which will most likely be a hub of activity. In the clip you can see Lucia being filmed by the car in front. Does this mean it will be a part of a mission, or will it a random event that can happen like people filming you in GTA V?
The building in the background is beautiful, and the nightlife vibes given off the city are incredible.
Close-up of two Characters
This close-up of two characters in the trailer leads us to believe that they may be very important to the story of GTA VI. The level of detail within their models suggests that they will receive plenty of time in the story, which could be interesting.
Fidelity of Vice City at Night
This night time shot of Vice City shows some of the best graphics we’ve ever seen in a game. What’s interesting about this is not only the size of the map, but also the Tennis courts in the foreground of the clips, which may suggest that Tennis is in GTA VI, like it was in GTA V. We anticipate that mini-games will return in GTA VI, and the detail placed in the tennis court makes us confident that Tennis will be in GTA VI.
Vice City Strip
The VC Strip is buzzing with life in this screenshot, but did you notice that the Cheetah and carbonizzare are in the foreground of the clip? You can also spot an iguanna on the back of the man ina white tanktop, which means we will most likely see reptiles in GTA VI.
