It seems like every day there’s a new round of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks and rumours to discuss. While Rockstar Games first announced that it was working on the next entry in the iconic series back in February 2022, we unfortunately haven’t had any major updates from the developer since then. We still don’t know the exact GTA VI release date, story details, or have seen any recent gameplay.
At this point, the only gameplay glimpses we’ve seen are from early leaked builds that likely won’t represent the final product. Previous rumors have also claimed that GTA VI will return to Vice City and feature playable protagonists Jason and Lucia, inspired by the crime duo Bonnie and Clyde.
With Rockstar staying quiet, it’s no wonder fans eagerly soak up any leaks we can get. In fact, it feels like the world might end before we ever get to actually play GTA VI!
Leaked Police Chase Impresses Fans
Previously we mentioned some leaked gameplay that many believe forced Rockstar to officially announce GTA VI’s development. As reported by Sportskeeda, a 20-second clip showcasing a new police chase mechanic has blown some fans away with its realism.
The footage first leaked in September 2022 but has been recirculating across social media. It shows a character, likely Lucia, shooting at a police SUV from the back of a truck driven by another character, possibly Jason. When one SUV crashes, it instantly repositions itself to restart the chase rather than bumping into obstacles like in past GTA titles.
This matches up with previous reports in August 2022 claiming improved police AI. While the original Twitter clip shared by Sportskeeda was removed, searching “GTA 6 leaked police chase” still brings up the footage.
More GTA VI Speculation
In other recent news, one insider claims GTA VI will finally be revealed this October. Another says it will require a massive 750GB of storage space!
While nothing is confirmed yet, GTA VI is expected for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. As always, fans eagerly await more concrete details from Rockstar Games. For now, these leaked glimpses help fill the void, especially impressive footage like the police chase mechanic.
