Minecraft PE: How to Shear Sheep
Shearing sheep is a crucial activity in Minecraft PE if you want to obtain wool without killing the sheep. Wool is an essential resource for crafting items like beds and banners, and it can also be used for decorative purposes. The process of shearing is quite simple, but it does require a specific tool: shears. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to shear sheep in Minecraft PE.
First, you need to craft shears. This is done on a crafting table with just two iron ingots. Place the iron ingots in the 2×2 crafting grid, one in the center square and one in the bottom right square, to create shears. Once you have your shears, you’re ready to find some sheep. Sheep spawn naturally in the world and can be found in most biomes, although they’re most common in grassy areas.
When you’ve found a sheep, simply approach it and tap on the ‘Shear’ button while holding the shears in your hand. The wool will drop and the sheep will appear shaved until it eats grass and regrows its wool, which usually takes just a few minutes. Each shearing yields 1 to 3 blocks of wool.
Remember that sheep can be dyed any color before shearing, and they will drop wool in the color they’re dyed. This is a great way to gather large amounts of colored wool without needing to dye each block individually. Now that you know how to shear sheep in Minecraft PE, you can start collecting wool and using it in all your crafting
