The M4 assault rifle is a versatile weapon that can be customized for various engagement ranges in Call of Duty: Warzone. With the right attachments, the M4 balances mobility, control, and firepower to take on enemies at close, medium, and long range.
Is the M4 the best gun in Warzone? Not quite. Though, it’s versatility enables it to cover a wide range of scenarios where some of the most powerful guns will lag behind, making the M4 a fairly solid gun in Warzone.
The Best M4 Loadout In Warzone
The best Warzone M4 loadout is:
- Barrel: Hightower 20″ Barrel
- Muzzle: Harbinger D20
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
The balance in range, recoil control and mid-range optics makes the M4 a great gun for both resurgence and Battle royale. If you can master the M4, you will stand a strong chance in most of your Warzone gunfights.
What perks to use with the M4?
While your Warzone playstyle may differ from ours, this Warzone perk package is generally a pretty strong option.
Moving fast, with a quick draw speed, and the ability to stay off the map will give you the edge in almost all circumstances in Warzone.

- Base Perk 1: Bomb Squad
- Base Perk 2: Double Time
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
A must-have perk is Ghost, regardless of your playstyle. Warzone players love a UAV, and dodging those mini-map pings will allow you to attack squads while they have their guard down, giving you easy kills in Warzone.
Double Time is another Warzone must-have perk. The faster you move, the quicker you avoid targets – or – the quicker you find targets. Moving quick makes you a harder kill, especially if you’re running with a larger gun, that extended sprint duration is vital.
