A new limited-time event has kicked off in Call of Duty: Warzone giving players an exciting sneak peek at the upcoming Modern Warfare III.
Story Setup
Dubbed “Shadow Siege,” the event revolves around a mission to uncover a dangerous arsenal hidden under Al Mazrah’s Zaya Observatory. Participants will get to watch the official Modern Warfare III reveal trailer as a reward.
The event storyline ties into narrative threads from both Warzone and Modern Warfare II, with operatives joining forces to take down the Konni ultranationalist group.
Gameplay Structure
Players squad up in teams of four and complete objectives across three phases:
- Phase 1: Secure missile silos to bombard the observatory
- Phase 2: Infiltrate the exposed weapons lab and extract gas canisters
- Phase 3: Exfiltrate before time runs out
Along the way, participants will face off against tough Konni forces including elite commanders. Teamwork and communication are advised to fully complete the mission.
Event Rewards
By achieving specific challenges, players can unlock event-exclusive rewards like weapon blueprints, emblems, calling cards, charms and more. These will carry over into Modern Warfare II and the upcoming Modern Warfare III.
Players have until August 21st to drop in and experience the limited-time mode. With Modern Warfare III’s launch approaching on November 18th, Shadow Siege provides a perfect primer on what’s to come.
