The Modern Warfare III Beta is split into two weekends, featuring maps from the iconic Modern Warfare 2. Keep an eye out for additional maps, modes, and progression in Weekend Two.

Weekend One: October 6–10

Weekend One is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

PlayStation Early Access: Players who preordered can start on Friday, October 6 at 10 AM PT.

PlayStation Open Beta: Opens on Sunday, October 8 at 10 AM PT for all PlayStation players.

Beta Access: Digital preorders are automatically registered for Early Access. Physical preorders should have received Beta codes.

Your First Match

To start your first Beta match, head to the Play section in the game menu. Choose from Featured Playlists offering different map and mode combinations.

Weekend One: Maps and Modes

Weekend One begins with four maps and four game modes, with more added when it opens to all players.

Core Maps:

• Tactical Intel: Explore Rio de Janeiro’s Favela for dynamic close-quarters combat.
• Estate: Infiltrate the outdoors of Estate, battling in a luxurious yet perilous environment.
• Skidrow: Navigate the urban streets of Skidrow, offering intense close-quarters engagements.
• Rust (Open Beta): Prepare for chaos in the infamous desert environment.

Ground War Map:

• Popov Power: Engage in large-scale conflict at the Popov Power Plant.

Game Modes:

• Team Deathmatch
• Domination
• Hardpoint
• Kill Confirmed (Open Beta)
• Ground War

Weekend One: Progression in the MWIII Beta

During the first weekend, players can reach a maximum level of 20. Unlock Loadout gear, custom Loadouts, new weapons, perks, and more as you progress.

1. Use the first weekend to reach the initial level cap and experiment with Custom Loadouts at Level 4.
2. Modern speed and movement mechanics alter the classic maps, so exploit your enhanced mobility for better flanking.
3. Fine-tune your game settings during the Beta for a smoother experience in Weekend Two and upon release.
